Extrajudicial Killings In Mexico On The Rise

If you are seeking Security Services Mexico, contact Black Mountain security. Extrajudicial killings in Mexico by law enforcement are becoming a growing problem that is receiving worldwide attention. After video footage had emerged of a Mexican police officer killing live suspects after they crashed into a wall, much controversy has surrounded the issues regarding questions about police activities. The suspects had begun firing at a group of officers in Tamaulipas when their car was stopped by the task force. They were then chased by law enforcement for a stretch before they crashed into a brick wall. Three of the suspects had been alive in the car, and were killed after the crash by one of the police officers.

 

These extrajudicial killings in Mexico have risen to epic proportions, and it is often blamed on a flawed justice system, insufficient funds, lack of leadership and mass corruption, which was creating a problem with abuse by law enforcement. A variety of contraband was recovered from the car, however Internal Affairs in the district were investigating the best course of action as a result.

 

The problems are said to be a result of lack of oversight in officials, and thus lead to criminal activity and corruption within the police and security forces. Some issues with lack of resources were said to be causing anxiety and aggression for task forces. There are also issues with flaws in the justice system which involve corruptions of their own.
